DESCRIPTION
Inspired by shooting stars, I used Houdini to visualize meteorites that have hit Earth in the past ~300 years.
Based on a CSV dataset from The Meteoritical Society (meteoritical.org/), I parsed the data with Python, converted from Lat/Long to cartesian coordinates in Houdini, and drove animation with MOPs (motionoperators.com/).
Houdini was also used to export MIDI data that triggered sound effects in Max/MSP.
