DESCRIPTION
Inspired by shooting stars, I used Houdini to visualize meteorites that have reached Earth's atmosphere in the past ~300 years.
Driven by data from The Meteoritical Society (meteoritical.org/), I used Python to parse the data, converted from Lat/Long to cartesian coordinates in Houdini, drove animation with MOPs (motionoperators.com/), and generated MIDI data that triggered sound effects in Max/MSP.
